About Bacon Park Tennis Courts
Bacon Park Tennis Courts is a tennis court in Savannah, Georgia. It is listed at 6262 Skidaway Rd, Savannah, GA 31406, which places it among the local businesses of Savannah that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. Typical hours are 8 amβ9 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Savannah is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Savannah is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Georgia's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Recently resurfaced courts that are in great shape. But you do need a membership to get access which is ~$230 per year. Also, getting in touch with the office for reservations can be challenging at times.

Nice public tennis courts just a few miles outside of the heart of Savannah. Clean and well maintained, with public restrooms.

The courts here were in good shape, and the layout wasn't bad. I like that there were good benches on and near the courts, and the courts were easily accessible. The tennis tower looked really nice, though I didn't get to go inside. I thought it could have been better positioned to view all the courts. The sand gnats were pretty bad and left me quite itchy.
